Riccardo "rico" Migliarini, vocal and harmonica, started playing harp with the Wolves Blues Band, a nine elements big combo devoted to the Blues and R&B idioms, in the early 1980's and recorded with them "Last Nite" in 1993. He successively joined his old buddy Maurizio "Maestro" Pugno (guitar) with whom performed extensively in an acoustic setting. In 1996, Rico and Maestro formed the Rico Blues Combo which is one of the most in demand Blues Band in Italy. Rico Blues Combo provided able back-up to harmonica wizard Mike Turk during his most recent Italian tours. Rico Blues Combo has released two excellent CDs "White Wiskey" ('97) e "Sleepy Town" ('99) which wisely blends traditional blues with west coast influences. Rico Migliarini belongs to the modern school of harmonica players. He owns a rich tone and an encyclopedic knowledge of the harmonica vocabulary which masters like the best USA players. His playing, articulate and inventive, reveals a juicy and jazzy melodic taste. His composition, Too Much Grappa, is a little classic deserving international air playing. Best of all Rico sings like a seasoned entertainer.
